Privacy Policy
Effective July 5, 2026
The short version
- We show no ads and we never sell your data. Ever.
- Sign-in is handled by Auth0 — we never see or store your password.
- Bank connections go through Plaid and are read-only. We can see balances and transactions you choose to connect; we cannot move money, and we never receive your bank login.
- The AI copilot runs on OpenAI and Anthropic models. Your requests are processed to answer you — not used to train their models — and your credentials never go to them.
- Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Want everything deleted? Email hello@focuspocus.tech — confirmed complete within 30 days.
Who we are
FocusPocus ("we", "us") makes a life-management dashboard — tasks, money, calendar, home, and an AI copilot in one place. This policy covers this website (including the waitlist) and the FocusPocus product. Questions any time: hello@focuspocus.tech.
What we collect
- Waitlist: the email address you submit on this site, plus the plan tier you clicked, if any. That's the entire record.
- Account: when you sign in, Auth0 (our authentication provider) gives us your email, name, and a login identifier. Your password lives with Auth0, not us.
- Financial data: if you connect a bank or card through Plaid, we receive read-only aggregation data — account names, balances, and transactions. Your bank credentials go directly to Plaid; we never receive or store them, and nothing in FocusPocus can initiate a payment or transfer.
- Connected services: if you link other tools (calendar, tasks, smart home, media), we store the API credentials you provide, encrypted, and fetch the data those tools return.
- Operational basics: standard server logs (IP address, request time) used only to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.
What we use it for
One thing: running FocusPocus for you — showing your own data back to you in one place, letting you know when you have access, and helping when something breaks. We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell or rent it to anyone, and we don't share it with third-party marketers.
How it's protected
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and encrypted at rest. Credentials for connected services are additionally encrypted before storage. Access is limited to what's needed to operate the service.
Who else touches your data
Only service providers doing a job for you, each limited to their function:
- Auth0 — sign-in and account security.
- Plaid — read-only bank and card connections. See Plaid's end-user privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing, once paid subscriptions begin. Card numbers go to Stripe, never to us.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and stores the waitlist.
- OpenAI and Anthropic — provide the language models behind the copilot, reached through infrastructure we operate. When you use the copilot, the context needed to answer (for example, the tasks or transactions you're asking about) is sent to the model. Under their API terms, this data is not used to train their models. Your passwords, bank logins, and stored service credentials are never sent to them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active or while you're on the waitlist. Email hello@focuspocus.tech from your account (or waitlist) address to have everything about you deleted — we'll confirm when it's complete, within 30 days. Disconnecting a bank in the app revokes our Plaid access to it.
Your choices
- Connect and disconnect banks and integrations at any time.
- Ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or full deletion — same email address.
Children
FocusPocus isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided us data, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. For material changes affecting account holders, we'll email you first.
